Why is accreditation necessary?

Paving the way

We invite anyone who intends to act as a competent person to report exploration results, mineral resources and mineral reserves to become QMR accredited and obtain a QMR certificate in your area of expertise.
QMR accredited specialists demonstrate such a level of qualification and experience that allows them to act as a Competent Person, according to reports on the Results of Geological Exploration, assessment of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves, as defined in the CRIRSCO rules, the KAZRC Code and other codes of the CRIRSCO family. The above-mentioned reports are intended for investors and the Competent Authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

How do I get QMR accreditation?

To obtain accreditation, Professional Members of PONEN (MPONEN and FPONEN) provide information about their professional experience and the completion of a professional development program.
Members of PONEN who have not yet acted as competent persons on reports developed under the codes of the CRIRSCO family must undergo an interview after submitting documents.
PONEN members who have already acted as competent persons on reports developed under the CRIRSCO family of codes can obtain QMR accreditation in a simplified manner.
