Efficient block model estimation: a practical application of KNA in Datamine Supervisor
Efficient block model estimation: a practical application of KNA in Datamine Supervisor

Date: May 23, 2025
Time: 16:00
Format: Online
Language: Russian
Number of PD hours: 1.5 points
PONEN invites geologists, resource assessment specialists, teachers and students of geological exploration to a practice-oriented seminar dedicated to the use of KNA (Kriging Neighborhood Analysis) in the Datamine (Snowden) Supervisor software environment.
The seminar will demonstrate step-by-step the selection of parameters for estimating block models on real gold deposit data. Participants will learn how to apply KNA tools for both kriging and the inverse distance weighting method.
Topics to be discussed:
š¹ Loading composite data
š¹ Selecting variograms (without going into theory)
š¹ Determining the optimal block size
š¹ Setting parameters for the number of points for estimation
š¹ Configuring search ellipses
š¹ Selecting sampling points for grade estimation
Participation fee:
PONEN members – free
Non-PONEN members – 5,000 ć
š Duration: 1 hour
š Registration is required
Join the online seminar to master effective methods for deposit estimation and modeling using modern Datamine tools!
